How can my charity participate?

It’s very simple, just fill out and submit the form below. Upon approval, your charity will receive Pensacola Martini Festival tickets to sell. After receiving the festival tickets, have your charity staff and supporters sell them to anyone over the age of 21. All tickets given to your organization are pre-sold for $20. Unsold tickets and money will be collected prior to the event and a check will be issued to your charity for 100% of what you sold. That's right! Your charity will receive 100% of the money from your sold tickets! If you run out, call us for more. Hurry, other local charities are selling tickets, too!.

Which charities qualify?

All local 501(c)(3) charities qualify to be sponsored by the Pensacola Martini Festival. Over the past five years we have helped raise thousands of dollars for charities in the Pensacola area and we look forward helping even more this year! The specific charity can sell tickets or individuals can sell tickets and have the money donated to the 501(c)(3) charity of their choice. Tickets are being sold throughout the community by local charities for $20 each until October 29, 2012. Charities keep all $20 from each ticket they sell. Tickets may also be purchased on Palafox St. until November 3, 2012 at these locations: Belle Ame (American Cancer Society), La Monique Boutique (Muscular Dystrophy Association), Mezza De Luna (Autism Pensacola), Susan Campbell Jewelry (AMIKids).

Do you think you have what it takes to be THE BEST BARTENDER ON THE GULF COAST?

Compete with the area’s finest bartenders and show off your skills at our 6th annual Gulf Coast Bartender Competition. First place takes home $3,000 cash as well as the coveted trophy and possibly the best prize of all, bragging rights!

The 6th annual Gulf Coast Bartender Competition will be held at the Pensacola Martini Festival at 2:00 pm, but in order to compete you must first enter our pre-qualifier competition which will be held at The Fish House on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm. This pre-qualifier competition is open to anyone over the age of 21. Just show up between 11:00 am –noon on the day of the event. The registration fee is $15 and must be paid to enter. You MAY NOT bring your own liquor to this event and you must use the liquors provided by Premier Beverage. See below for the list of provided liquors as well as pre-qualifier rules and main competition rules.


PLEASE read all rules carefully. The pre-qualifier rules and the main competition rules are slightly different. For the pre-qualifier you MAY NOT bring any of your own alcohol and you must use what is provided on the list below. You are still required to bring all non-alcholic mixers, garnishes, shakers, tools, etc. If you make it to the main event, you CAN make the same martini that you made in the qualifier but it is not required. For the main event, you must bring your own alcohol as well as mixers, garnishes, shakers, tools, etc.

Pre-qualifier Rules

Gulf Coast Bartender Competition 2012 PRE-QUALIFIER RULES

*This is an open competition. Anyone over the age of 21 is eligible to enter.

*Only sixteen (16) final competition spots are available. Of these spots, four (4) previous winners will be guaranteed positions. The other twelve (12) spots will be decided at the pre-qualifying competition at The Fish House on October 28, 2012.

*The registration fee is $15 and must be paid to enter (cash or check only).

*The Gulf Coast Bartender Competition PRE-QUALIFIER will start at 1:00pm, Sunday, October 28, 2012 on The Deck at The Fish House. Registration is between 11am – noon on the day of the event.

*Premier Beverage liquors, ice, sample cups and martini glasses will be provided. Bartenders must provide everything else they need for the competition including all mixers, garnishes, ingredients, shakers, tools, etc. The martini glasses provided must be used. You may not bring your own liquor or alcohol of any kind to the pre-qualifer. No exceptions.

*We suggest the bartenders bring small travel coolers with ice to keep their items cool as well as plastic containers with lids for garnishes and a travel bag for tools, shakers, mixers, etc.

*There will be tables available for the bartenders to prep their items (garnishes, etc.) before their turn.

*Bartenders will have three (3) minutes to make their best martini and also pour five (5) samples for judges. The samples do not have to be garnished but if the garnishes affect the flavor of your martini it is strongly suggested that you garnish the samples.

*If the martini AND samples are not completed within the allotted time there will be a two (2) point deduction.

*Bartenders may place or set up all their items on the bar before the time starts. Ice CANNOT be scooped until time has started. Garnishes also may not be placed until time has started.

*After time is called and while judges are sampling and scoring the martinis, the bartenders will move to the auction table where they (with the assistance of a Pensacola Martini Festival representative) will auction their martini to the crowd. This does not affect the score.

*Five (5) judges will be giving a score of one through five (1-5) for the following four (4) categories: *Presentation - How does it look? *Mixology - Simple or complex? *Originality - Have we ever seen anything like this before? *Taste - Does it taste good?

*A score of twenty (20) is the highest possible per judge. A perfect score from all judges would give a score of 100 points.

*Twelve (12) finalists will be chosen to move onto the finals at the Pensacola Martini Festival on November 10, 2012.

*All participants agree that their name, photos and interviews may be used for future promotions and press.

*By entering the Gulf Coast Bartender Competition pre-qualifier, you agree you have read, understand and accept all rules layed out on this page.

*The Gulf Coast Bartender Competition will start at 2:00 pm, November 10, 2012.

*If a bartender is late for his/her starting time, he/she will go to the end of the lineup and receive a two (2) point deduction.

*Be prepared for MANY pictures during the event and in the event of a win, interviews and a full photo shoot with representatives from liquor companies, distributors and Pensacola Martini Festival promoters.

*The recipe for the winning martini must be provided, in detail, for publishing, with credit to the creator.

*The WINNING MARTINI and it’s creator will be published and promoted as BEST BARTENDER ON THE GULF COAST!

*All participants agree that their name, photos and interviews may be used for future promotions and press.

*Winnings will be paid to first, second and third place winners after all photo shoots and interviews are completed (approx one hour). If a winner leaves before he/she is paid, it will be his/her responsibility to contact Pensacola Martini Festival representatives to arrange to pick up their winnings.

Our Event

The Pensacola Martini Festival is a great opportunity for consumers to sample some of the best martinis in Northwest Florida. Working closely with Premier Beverage, festival attendees get to take a stroll down Palafox Street sampling a variety of martinis made with only the top liquors Premier Beverage has to offer.

Teaming up with World of Beer, this year our LIVE band is bigger and better than ever to entertain our guests as they move up and down Palafox Street performing the ultimate taste test. LOCAL vendors will be setup throughout the festival showing and selling their products. Top bartenders compete for bragging rights in the largest bartender competition in the south, the Gulf Coast Bartender Competition. Each bartender’s martini creations will be auctioned off to the highest bidder after their performance.
